Haven’t bought this yet but it would be a great add in for my son who will be entering second grade!

we bought this to do with our son during the summer months. we love it. as suggested we purchased a book through Amazon “The United States of America: A State-by-State Guide” and have very much enjoyed going through state by state a learning all things about them. some things that my husband and I didn’t know either.

I purchased this for my 1st Grader and 4th Grader. They both love it. My 1st grader colors and fills out a few of the boxes. My 4th grader does the entire sheet (once a week) and she memorizes the state, capital and abbreviation. We have only done it for 5 weeks now but they are loving having it to do together. I already had some state flash cards that work for filling out the sheet but just found the free resource on this page. I think my 4th grader is going to enjoy doing “research on the computer” to fill it out.

I just downloaded this and cannot wait to use it. It is beautiful and probably the most complete state notebook that I have seen. It will definitely meet our needs and was just what I was looking for! Five stars!

This activity pack has been a lifesaver for me. I teach ESL grades K-5. I allow my 2-5 students to work independently in their USA geography notebooks whenever a lesson is finished early or there is a disrupted schedule. It has also been useful as background information for writing compare/contrast essays.
This week, the notebooks solved a major problem for me. Three 3rd students who have recently arrived from Egypt and a 4th who just got here from Honduras, all of whom speak almost no English, are exempt for their first year from state testing. Their classroom teachers did not have work prepared for these students to do independently while the other students are testing. Enter the USA Activity Pack! I allowed them to take their notebooks, books, and colored pencils with them for the day. They remained engaged and happy, needed no additional directions from their adult supervisor, and spent the day learning through pictures some facts about their new country. Awesome!
Even though the reference books need to be purchased, the money spent for the total package is an amazing value! I would recommend this package to any elementary teacher, and to ESL teachers through middle school. I wish I had had it thirty years ago when I was homeschooling my own children.
Thank you for this wonderful product!

We used this in our homeschool this year. We completed 2-3 states a week, learned a little about each one as we learned early US history. I re-organized the pages to reflect the order in which they joined the Union. We used it along with some US puzzles, the Stack the States app and the suggested Scholastic resource for the younger kids, and a more advanced atlas for the older kids. We worked about 30 minutes, 2 days a week. Thanks for a great resource! We loved it, just what we needed.

My kids and even myself have enjoyed doing this activity packet together. We have learned facts about the states we would of otherwise not known, if we would of never bought this great activity pack! Thank you.

Fantastic pack! Only regret is that it doesn’t include Washington, DC. I know DC isn’t a state, but it is the Nation’s capital, it has its own flag, tree, flower, unique geography, and significant history. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this packet.

My kids are really enjoying this series, even younger ones can do these simple worksheets. If you are looking for a geography for younger ones I would highly recommend this pack. If your kids are older, it is easy to add on more points to research the states a little more, great resources for learning about the U.S.

I love this pack. We are gearing up to study the 50 states next year in my homeschool. I homeschool my grandchildren. We have lots of stuff already, but I love the way each page of this has so much information. I got it early because my grandchildren are about to visit Texas so we have been studying that state early! I gave them the pages for the states they will be driving through.

I feel this will be awesome to add to their state books we are creating and also, it would be a great page to use as a review page for each state as we finish it. Highly recommended!

This item was perfect for my daughters school project. I love how the pictures of each flag are on the page, along with the actual bird, and not just a clip art of the same bird over and over again.
