Learning to READ has never been so fun! This hands-on phonics set covers 22 different word families and teaches children individual letter sound to spell all while solving simple path mazes.
Mazes are a great way to get the brain working! These phonics mazes challenge students to spell CVC words by following the correct path. Each worksheet focuses on two different word families with a picture prompt for each word. Students solve the maze then write the word on the line. Encourage students to use two different colors for each word so they can see the path they make.
This set covers 22 Word Families on 11 maze sheets. Each sheet has 8 path mazes for children to solve. By the end of this pack students will have spelled and writted 88 different words.

Hi! Love your idea! I noticed, though, that many of the mazes do not work and I had to white out the letters to ensure the maze worked correctly. Example: IP and UG page …If I follow the bug, it reads d-u-g. There are several puzzles that do not work.

Hi Andrea,
Thank you for your order! I’m sorry for the confusion 🙂 Each time your pencil comes to a X the students must decide which way to go (up or down) to spell the word. I hope this makes sense, they don’t keep traveling the same direction, but must zig-zag across to collect the correct letters.
Blessings,
Valerie
