Too cute. Love that my little one can grab a handful of goldfish and count/graph. My child likes to make graphs so it is also a fun activity for us. There are activities for most holidays so I had special graphs just for St. Patrick’s. Now that they have added all sorts of graphs my child’s understanding has really blossomed!!

I have always enjoyed graphing and this is simple enough that the kids are able to find the fun in it as well as the useful benefits to knowing the why and how we use graphs. There are so many different kinds that I liked the amount of practice with all of the different styles. Most math series do not spend enough time on graphs and kids are left to figure it out for themselves. Thank you for this resource

I tried this at home with my first graders before I brought it into the classroom and it worked wonderful wonders. They were fully engaged and enjoying the experience with new information.

Could not be happier! We are using the Math-U-See curriculum which focus kids just on learning the basics like adding and subtracting. Its slower paced and has manipulatives to visualize math. That program is good for kids who have math anxiety and writing anxiety and cannot handle too many problems at once time, HOWEVER the Math-U-See program misses out on exposure to graphing and data collection. I am a science major and a credentialed teacher, I know that exposing kids to graphing at a young age is ESSENTIAL for future success in many fields. It is really not that hard to include graphing with little ones and its the best time for them to learn it. So don’t wait until your kids are in junior high to spring graphs on them, buy this pack! Then learn to read graphs, make graphs, different graph types, and then to do crazy surveys with your homeschool friends, record it in tally mark tables, and graph it yourself. Pie charts also provide an excellent in road to learning fractions. I also picked up Carson Dellosa’s Infographics as it helps learn how to read the graphics in educational materials or news articles etc. I gathered all that and made a huge graphing binder to last two years for 1st-2nd grade. Thanks!
